Description

This unit examines key elements of Christian pastoral and ministerial practice and reflects on this practice in relation to our contemporary society and the wider world. It considers the critical correlation between pastoral practice and theology. It explores contributions made by the human sciences to pastoral practice. It considers the nature of the church (ecclesiology) and church practice (including some aspects of sacramental theology) from a variety of scriptural and theological perspectives. It offers a supervised pastoral placement in a non-church context.
